Hodges 8/25
Tried to get a few hours in the morning before the heat took over. they opened the gate at 6;00 and i set up the pontoon and was on the water headed down the Del Dios arm by 6;30. I was heading to a place i knew that has deep water because from the reports i got on folks throwing the kitchen sink at the lock jawed fish was fresh in my mind. On the way i was throwing crank baits and jigs at every spot that looked like it was holding fish but got no interest at all. I decided to pick up my worming rod And fish just outside the cove where i had been heading. I tried fishing the channel between the points of the big cove and i started getting a few bites on a morning dawn roboworm. I picked up 2 nice fish and 3 fish that looked like from this years spawn. They were no more than 10 inches. I left to ramp by 10;30 before I fried. At least no skunk.

Re: Hodges 8/25
Talking to a few buddies recently and it seems like Hodges has been really a lot tougher…. so picking up a couple nice bass is always a plus even with a few dinks. Glad to see you avoided the skunk and back on the water with your pontoon. Thanks for sharing and Tight lines always

Glad you were able to find some fish, Hodges has been tougher than tough this month.
