Comfortable light deck

Thought I'd share a this.
I needed something to make it easier for my old lard ass to be comfortable fishing in the front of the boat.
Had trouble with the ribs. I made a wooden one first that was bulky and heavy.
Here is a light weight version that works really well and is the same height as the ribs and fit perfectly between them.
Smaller one is 11-1/4" x 46", the large is 13-1/4"x 42" They are 3/4" thick. 1-1/2" when glued together is the same height as the ribs.
I cut the first one to size with a sharp knife and straight edge. #2 I used my band saw. Both worked well. Cut them across and half way thru when they cure so they bend a bit in the middle.. Let the glue cure outside for a few days.
Makes for a nice deck and it's cooler than the metal.

Maxzmus brings a large, thick cloth that spreads over the seats and deck that accomplishes some of this plus gives you a clean deck for gear and dropped items. Another fantastic, creative solution to the very uncomfortable rental boats there.

Appreciate the comments. I have enough projects to catch up on at home.
If you can butter bread you can do this without any special tools.
Just takes a little bit time.
