Re: Barrett Report August 21
Thanks Dave for allowing me to fish so close to your proximity , It's not something I ever usually do. Most fun I've had fishing the surface baits in many years. I can't remember fishing the hard baits for 8 hrs straight. Usually I jump to plastics after the first hour or so. There were so many ...

Re: Barrett Report August 28
It still looks like you had a great time despite the the wind and heat. Comfortable looks good on you my friend. Maybe next week you can locate some bigger fish to play with.

Re: Barrett Report August 28
The cooler air temperature had something to do with the slower top water bites. Did get 4 on frog early, ended up with 25 healthy bass, crawler and popper worked well with a pause

Re: Barrett Report August 28
Thanks for the report Dave. I got out there late afternoon, and while it was beautiful and the wind died down, the bite was really slow for me. I caught six on reapers, senkos, Ikas. My buddy was doing much better with 2.5" slim swimz, even though we didn't notice much bait fish.

Re: 8/24 & 8/25
Hi, nice report. It does seem like the dinks are the dominant catch. Last week, I found fish suspended over no structure and not relating to bait balls, which were also hard to find. I think there's something going on with the combination of odd weather ( for this time of year ) the clarity of the ...

I pride myself with having so many various lures from the decades of fishing all over my garage, house, boat and even in my kayak...but
I have never had a flying fish type of bait or a bait with wings. Oh wait...I got it.... I guess it is called a Pompadour. That bait is crazy looking and even ...

Fishing for Quality 9-1
After consulting the regulars and reports, the plan was to go deeper for more quality over quantity today. Brought my floating Garmin Striker to watch our depths and it definitely seemed like the fish in 15-20 were better. The calm glassy morning in Pine kicked out nice ones mostly on 4” senkos. My ...

Re: Barrett Report September 7
Great job out there! I still haven’t been able to dial in the bluegills there this year but maybe it’s been because I’ve been jig crazy there this year. New Barrett video out tomorrow at 8am. I’ll post my report then. Cheers!

Re: Barrett Report September 7
Holy crap Vinnie is correct you are a stud. The thought of driving 90 minutes to lug my pontoon to the edge of the water and set it up has me already melting in this heat. Im sure glad you do it so i can read what im missing in the comfort of my lazyboy with a/c blowing across my prone body. You ...

Banner Final Day @ Barrett 09.07
My son and I started off in Hauser with some nice cloud cover caught a few here and there on crawler, Rapala #5, Flukes and Senkos. We had about 25 by mid morning but it started getting hot with full sun and kinda slowed down. We checked some of the steep rock walls and tried a little deeper for 1 ...

I like to throw more of a neutral color when they are this picky in the beginning of the season I was throwing red , plum and black and blue... now they don't hit those colors so ...
