That’s a nice cat! Caught a few of those on cranks at El Cap. Great fight but kind of disappointing after a minute or so when you realize it’s not a huge bass on the end of your line

I’m sorry for your loss. I lost my father this past Sept. 11th ( another reason to remember that day). Always loved being able to share pictures and stories with him. Definitely feel his presence still, as I’m sure you will too. Congrats on the big girl!!

I ordered a Zoo Pup bait along with with the this crazy looking thing called a Bone Doctor. I plan on trying the latter as a finesse jig trailer. I'll let you all know how they work out for me.

Half of my arsenal of 6XD’s and 10 XD’s have been donated by other fishermen over the last couple of years. I find at least one lure almost everytime I’m out.

Hey all, Haven’t had much to report lately, since returning to work after my shoulder replacement. Been out to El Cap a few times with not much but little guys to report. Was out there today and the SD Bass Council was holding their Top 6 tournament.

Im still around! Just haven’t had the chances to get out on the water a lot since going back to work. Have hit El Cap a few times the last few weeks but only getting little guys. Now that the weather is cooling off I hopefully will be out more often again.

Absolutely not. I have never had a problem with someone keeping bass to eat. No issue at all there. My issue was that these bass were essentially going to waste. I would much rather see those bass taken home and eaten ...

Here is a funny observation......when a fish report says the bass are biting really well, many fishermen used to get upset and
say you are ruining the fishing at the lake as the lake now with be jam packed, elbow to elbow, and just overflowing with fishermen.

Been holding off on San V until the weather cool and the lake lice start to thin out. Hate that they buzz the shoreline and blare their music when on the water.

I guess that’s my main pet peeve here. We use these fish for recreation and, in this case, the pursuit of money. The least we can do is treat them as well as we possibly can. Basically, respect the resource!
