I'm in the mono camp as well.. I just came back from Cabo and used braid for the reasons mentioned above... I have never had so much line problems in my life... Fraying line, wind knots, and break-offs of expensive lures... If I go back, it will be with mono... And I almost always use mono here ...

Clear cool day, with little to no wind, and a small swell, So looked good, huh?... The only thing besides the goofy tide, was for some reason the the area inside the far sandbar was churning pretty good, and a pretty fair side current... Almost like wind waves, but no wind... Not un-fishable, but ...

A buddy called and said he wanted to fish, and who am I to say no. ;) ... When I got to the spot he already had a limit of humungous sand crabs... Probably too big, but full of eggs and some soft shells... We used those and I pealed some to make them more appetizing... Any way I picked up 6-7 BSP ...

The Padres had a good weekend and beat my Dodgers 2 out of 3… Congrats guys.. Well on to the Giants now for us…

I’m 76, and remember seeing this many times in JH and HS shop classes… We kids thought it was pretty hokey, but the fundamentals are pretty good… And who can not watch a Disney cartoon?..

10 or 12 hand size BSP for each of my Grandson and I… Same small doubled up sand crabs… Kyle, my Grandson got a drag puller, that came unhooked… He got the hit on another almost golf ball size crab… He’s still thinking about that one… A little more salad and current today… We did manage to get one ...

Smalls and golf ball size.. The smalls are useable, if you put a couple on a hook….
