Good deal… That’s the cost of the reel, minus tax, line and rod… I have no need for that rod, but wouldn’t mind having a spare Vanford 3K around… One of you bay guys should jump on this..

I love it… I use the 3000 for 95% of my fishing.. Mostly surf for corbina, croaker and perch…. But I’ve caught some decent halibut, large SNGF and pretty good size leopard sharks with it… I bought ...

Got out yesterday AM to Huntington Beach for a little chasing of fish... Just an absolute gorgeous day... Conditions were excellent, with cool clear water and sky... Small surf with a little current and no wind... Tides were a bit wonky though, and the fish didn't want much to do with me... I got 2 ...

I use a #8 mosquito hook, but do get a few swallows.. Oddly, it's the dink perch where i get tho most gut hooks... Maybe they have to be more aggressive to get their food... Those and those darn jack smelt, that swallow every thing they see. :x ... I used to use Owner Mutu Circle hooks for this very ...

Went out again on Friday for a little over a dozen BSP up to 12"... 1/2 & 1/2 dinks to decent sized.. Not as good conditions, but better fishing over all..

The one advantage of salted, dried and frozen blood worms is that they are tough.. I’ve had one worm last a session, with catching multiple fish.. Also, they are no trouble to use.. No stink, no mess, no special packaging.. They will sit in your pocket for a week and be as good as the day you pulled ...

Nothin’ better than catching on your own made gear… And nice fish too..

Conditions were great with small surf, beautiful sky and clear water... I started out using dried blood worms for 3 dink BSP, but over all slow fishing... I met a couple of buddies down there, and they were doing about the same as me... Except for one of the guys that had scrounged some sand crabs ...

Big head and tail, with not much between… And even a skinny 3.31# trout would get my blood boiling… Nice fishing… And I enjoy your post… So thanks..
