Best after work session ever!

Quick trip after a 10 hour work day, got to O'Neill about 5 o'clock. Tried a swim jig and then a football head with a big crawdad tail...nothing. Then went to the black 5 inch senko and everywhere I put it was a bass! Total was 18 in under 2 hours with 2 at 4 lbs and 2 just over 5! Did break off a ...

18 is a sure enough session, I was happy with 7 before 8am last Friday, all on Topwater then I took my protege, Jake, for a lesson on Bed Fishing. 15 minutes later….

Re: 4/6-Return to Murray

I’m glad you got back out to Murray, I don’t get to go out much and when I get to go on my buddies boat he doesn’t have any electronics he does have a trolling motor and for us that’s a real luxury.
Now that you’re back I can at least read some posts as it’s been slow on the posts. Thanks keep em ...

Re: 4/8- Quick A.M. Session- SD River

Quick morning session at the SD River before the heat came.
After an hour and a half or more or nothing, finally picked up 2
small bass on a small crank bait and then flipped a Googan Craw bait
later to pick up this 4 1/2lb bass. Bass immediately wrapped herself around
some underwater branches and ...

It's too bad the other website had to close. We do need a fishing website with no politics here in SoCal.

PB Trout

Went out last weekend to Santa Ana River Lakes and got this beast on hook up bait. I don’t really fish for them and this beat my previous PB by 6lbs. It weighed 8.32lbs. Super fun catch on 2lb test!

Drainage ditch cats...

Why yes, I am sorting my old photo files.

One local creek has plenty of bullheads, but never encountered a bigger cat after some 15 years of scratching around.

Same spot a year later. At first I thought it was the same fish, but it was a nearly two inches shorter ...

Re: 6/13- Murray

Absolutely no guarantees! Thanks for even providing a map and pointing out a spot! I'm just trying to soak up any and all advice I can and I definitely know what works one day doesn't always work the next with fishing.

Re: 6/13- Murray

It sounds like you had quite an interesting fishing experience at Lake Murray! It’s always fun when you catch something unexpected, and it sounds like you’ve got a good spot figured out. Catching a catfish while targeting bass can definitely be a surprise, especially when you’re expecting a ...

Pond and Bobber

Got up early for a half day ocean boat but got a flat tire which I had to get fixed. I don't live close to ocean but they rescheduled it for Friday.

After tire was fixed went to my local tiny pond with a bobber and half night crawler. Forgot how hard it is to set a hook with a bobber. Caught a few ...
