Re: 6/8 Murray
“Fished the dropshot today for 31 fish!! With the best 31 totaling 32.7lbs!!” Sweet!!! Thank you StinkyPunky23. You proved(and what McFish also said) that using the drop shot really pays off. I need to try not so stubborn and stop using 5-10 other baits it before I finally go to a DS on a slow fish...

Re: Poaching
Many years ago while fishing Lake Poway, I was casting along the buoy lines as bass were chasing shad and saw a line tied to the buoy line. Naturally I had to see what was on the end and it was a trotline. I knew it was illegal and cut it off and started pulling it in. It seemed like it took forever...

6/14 SD River-AM Session
Guys who forgot that Otay is closed the second Wednesday of the month like clockwork usually end up this day at Murray. I thought to myself, I could fish Murray this morning and post a report(like you guys haven't seen them before...ha ha), but decided to venture out to the SD River for a few hours ...

Re: 6/14 SD River-AM Session
I just remembered...that's my Whopper Plopper...yeah...that's it! So now you’re gonna tell me you lost that bait at El Cap years ago and somehow it found its way over to the dam and traveled where they’re letting the water out and ended up down the River where I was fishing. Sounds logical. Just se...

Re: Soft Plastics Colors and Combos
Thanks for sharing @Hellavate. Every bass fisherman has their favorites. I agree with @camobass that a chocolate blue vein T-Rigged worm overall has been a winner for several decades. Lots of them have been made over the years(I really liked Tightline worms and of course the Delong Otay Specials alw...

Re: Soft Plastics Colors and Combos
I'm thinking Vinny's garage has way more worms than the Worm Store ever had! Please do not look in my garage! I do have a few of your favorite color worms laying around and when you completely run out of the few you may have, I will be willing to maybe sell you a few for a nice reasonable price...h...

Re: Stuff Your Hear at City Park Ponds
One of my favorites is...after recognizing that I am about to fish, fishing or coming in from fishing, the people that come up and ask ........ "What type of fish are in here?" I then have to proceed to name each species while thinking in my mind that the majority of people who ask this ty...

Re: Stuff Your Hear at City Park Ponds
OMG..That is classic!
Like whatever you say or were going to say in response doesn't not mean anything because his buddy caught a bigger one than what you caught or are going to catch. ( Most likely it was a 5lb bass anyway that his buddy assumed weighed 10lbs..ha ha)

Lake Murray Water Level Alert!!Updated 6/23
Just a heads up to anyone heading to Lake Murray with a boat as the water level is now very, very low and you may not be able to launch. Even my buddy Paul went there to launch his bass boat over the weekend and took off to to El Cap because he told me about the low water at the ramp. I went over th...

6/20-Murray, Me and McFish?
As I arrived at Murray, a guy towing a bass boat was leaving as there was no way to launch a bass boat now as the water level to the end of the boat ramp is now just a few feet. I started to unload my kayak quickly and low and behold who pulls up right behind me....@McFish. I told him the lake was c...

Re: SD River & more
Nice job out there @DarkShadow. I fixed the pics and looks like you are having lots of fun on the water. Finesse jigs working for you and that's great! The bass see so many worms and they probably think..hey..what the heck is this and gobble it down. I caught some bass earlier in the year on Keitech...
