Re: 5/24- Return to Lake D & K

On a Clone Day. I always try a little bigger, a little deeper, a little farther into the trees. The Big Big Gals are there, they aren’t always with the smaller Males. Sometimes it takes an expedition to find them. Sometimes you do, sometimes your buddies catch 14 Bass and you don’t. I love the way ...

Re: 5/24- Return to Lake D & K

Looks like a good time was had by all, even the bass. I sure do miss the days of the "clone wars" on that lake.

It seems like going to yesterday I remember when I first joined the other Sdfish and used to read your reports and comments along with few others that fished Sutherland. There was ...

5/28-Another Murray cat

Just thought I would share another cat I caught at Murray while fishing for bass on a spoon. This one weighed right around 7 1/2lbs. I thought it was a bass at first, but then the way it was fighting knew it was probably a cat. Anyway....it was a fun fight on a light rod with 8lb fluoro.

5/30- AM Murray Session

Just a short trip over to Murray this morning and landed a handful of clones on reaction baits and plastics. Not much of anything
was breaking the surface, but I was happy to land a topwater bass on a popper. The bass were all pretty small but did get one
just over 3lbs on a creature bait.
Better ...

Re: Otay May 27

That’s great news on your insurance settlement.
You’ll be back on the water soon with only bass flopping around on your new carpet.

Re: 5/30- AM Murray Session

I love those yamamomo creature baits. That was a healthy one!

They are pretty deadly with lots of action. I used to toss them a lot in the past and somehow with so many baits that seem to
take over through the years, I forgot all about them. I have so many craw and creature type baits, but need ...

6/3- On the way to Murray....

A funny thing happened on the way to Murray with my kayak this morning. As I got to the bottom of the hill instead of going
straight over the freeway and up to the lake, I made a right and got onto 8 East and headed to El Cap. Never a rush to get to
Murray I finally arrived at El Cap a little ...

Keep our Lakes Open

Hey guys, Everydog has been busting his butt to help save our fishing venues for a long time.
He has always gone out of his way doing anything he can possibly do and we should all acknowledge him for his great efforts.
Anyway, this is a critical time that instead of just laying back, we all need ...

Re: 6/3- On the way to Murray....

Vinny, do you have a quality lightweight anchor? I use an anchor Trolly that clips to my anchor rode with a Carabiner. That way you can drop anchor and slide it to the rear. Now you get to fish downwind at your spot. You can let the rode out 15 feet at a time to hit more area. Then pull it back to ...

Re: 6/3- On the way to Murray....

I love El Cap as a lake, but avoid it due to the wind. Back when I was younger it did not bother me as much. Oh how things change=)
Too bad about the bigger one coming off. That's what keeps up going back....next time.

I remember the days even decades ago fishing in my buddies aluminum bass ...

Re: Keep our Lakes Open

Not everyone is on SDFish, so can you please pass the word along to other fellow anglers you know and all your friends to encourage them
to go to the link so they can submit this online petition to help Keep out Lakes Open.
Thank you again!

6/6- Return to SD River

It's been about a month since I fished the SD River. A buddy who fishes the river often told me last night that he has caught only
one bass after 3 trips and his buddy got skunked yesterday. I figured what the heck.. and so for a change of pace I decided to fish
it for a few hours this morning ...

Re: 6/6- Return to SD River

Decades ago before they built up all the businesses, condos. town homes, etc in Mission Valley there was tons of access to fishing. You
could park around Mission Center or on Qualcomm Way which back then was known as Texas street and fish right off the road or go along
the south side of the river ...

Results is always the key and that little bait already proved and paid for itself with the bass action you got. You have really been having a lot of fun out there with that light tackle and the bass like it too!

Nice job out there Dannicus !
You sure pulled in a nice variety of fish today and that "cool" little crank bait you shared with us on a recent post is pretty amazing!
