I think I caught that one before too, there are a few spawning still and a lot of them are really hungry post spawn. I caught two others last time that had crooked tails which was weird to see, birth defects from the same spawn or something

Made it out to Henshaw this past week to do a little bass and carp fishing. Started the morning off throwing at carp with the fly rod and picked off a few on a black leech before the wind kicked up. Switched over to conventional tackle and started flipping the tree's with a black and blue creature ...

Best day of the year so far at Murray. Caught a dozen fish, and all but two of them were over 2 pounds. Plus three nice ones, a 3.2 pounder, a 3.7 pounder and a 4.3 pounder.

It isn't the most fish I've caught at Murray this year but definitely the most quality. All on BFS gear.

Had a great 28 fish day today at the Murr. Almost all fish came courtesy of a BFS crankbait. Most of the bass were healthy in the 2+ pound range with 2 of them over 3 lbs.

However the biggest surprise of the day was a nice slab crappie. I fish Murray an average of 3 days per week for the last 3 ...

I've seen many helpful comments on this forum but I figured I'd also ask myself: which local lake(s) would you recommend for bank fishing? Any advice would be appreciated.

Late post but wanted to share. Fished Murray Thursday morning. I was able to hit this beauty off a drop shot. Pulled some drag and immediately knew it was a good one. Biggest one for me this year. Scaled at 4.14lbs. Tight lines guys!

I hit my home lake today, not sure I've ever fished on the 4th of July...but it was well worth it! I was on the water before sunrise and Fisheromen was already into fish!
