Should have use black stripe across the eyes. Would that be allowed? LOLcamobass wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2024 7:55 pm Sorry, pulled a random photo off the internet. I don’t know who it is…thought it was public.

Why deleted this post, nobody attacked you here. I said it before, no hating from me and I found your post very informative sometime as long as you don’t go into other ppl threads and start pushing your creative into everyone face without them asking.

Re: Psyche!
I've caught the occasional catfish while bass fishing, but had no idea that carp would ever do this! I guess even at my advanced age, you really do learn something new everyday.
I catch a few catfish every years with bass lure, especially when they are spawning, but carp on very rare occasions ...

Re: Favorite lure of 2024
Just ordered a few more of Ned Senko and 3” 4” Yama Craw (same floating formulae as Ned Senko). I normally use 1/16oz head but got the 4” one for 1/10 Zman shroom weedless head or free rig.

Re: 70 Size Reel
I’m crazy about using 70 size reel for anything, at one point I had 4 Curado 70 plus 2 of 50 series.
70 size spool can get only 80 yds of 12lb hybrid or 15lb Abrazx. Using larger line that get deep into arbor quick will rob you some distance. It best to use with 8-10lb copolymer. I op to 30lb braid ...

Getting ready for 2025.
For the past month I think I placed a few orders online for crappie stuff (sorry bass no budget left for you). Most of the items are new and a few just replenished old stock. I think end up getting closer to 20 bags of plastics. Really have hope of some items like Zman stuffs, Slab Hunt’r and ...

My bait monkey keep whisper on my ear to buy it, but on another ear I keep hearing NO NO NO, your wife gonna kill you for real. I really want to buy another catfish reel but my Abu 5600 still kicking and i hardly use 6500C3 and CI4 2500, want another left hand Daiwa but don’t know which one or what ...

Re: Favorite lure of 2024
For the last several years, I would put down the Tokyo rig, but this year just Texas rigged baits with a sinker stop.
I never used a sinker stop with a Texas rig before, but now rig it that way with creature, crawbait or plastic worms.

Yamamoto craw!!!
I’m pretty happy with 3” and 4” Yamamoto craw. If you like rage craw give Yamamoto craw a try, same lot of action but last longer. I alway loose one craw after one or two bass with rage craw but not with Yamamoto.
As of now I tried with Ned head (recommend 1/10oz with medium rod), wobble head, free ...

Crappies are on the move.
Despite it is gonna be colder but crappie already on the move from deep to their spawning site. Past weekend a guy told me he caught probably 30-40 crappie on the spot that I usually found them when first start moving. The next night I visited my usual spot and after figuring it out the depth and ...

Re: Crappies are on the move.
It was better for the last two nights, caught probably 30 each night. They are not wide spread yet but crappie nibble plus a right color lure can get them to bite easier. They are still full of eggs so I am not sure if they already spawning or just gathering around. All released for success spawning ...

Re: 2025 Lake Hodges Opener
I got one crappie and missed a few others that whacked my jig but I blew the hookset timing (too much watching the electronics! :D ). But most of the crappie targeted were just uninterested or maybe couldn't see my lure right in front of them.
This is what I say “hang tight to cover” in this ...

Re: Question for the group
Did I miss anything here?
It might be too late for the OP but if I target blue gill and don’t know body of water i would use 1/16oz drop shot with either night crawler or 1” Berkley gulp alive. I would drag or swim slowly or just drop and shake until you find hard bottom.
I hope @camobass wouldn’t ...
