Re: New Loveland Updates
Believe it or not, Sweetwater is trying to get FEMA money for damage from "flooding" preceded by "drought" at Loveland Reservoir, and other insurance money too. Some of it is for the fishing float and "recreation trails" that were damaged by "flooding". Really unbelievable. They will likely just ...

Re: New Loveland Updates
So they are trying to say it’s a natural disaster but in reality, it’s a man-made disaster. I hope it gets exposed for what it is. Corruption at its finest. You can’t make this stuff up
It is exposed. I exposed it thoroughly yesterday. CalEPA, CalOES, FEMA case managers, Sweetwater's Private ...

Re: New Loveland Updates
Possible good development:
I spoke with a young man from Congressman Issa’s constituent services team in Temecula yesterday. It appears that Congressman Issa's staff have, at least temporarily, opened the casework for help with the Forest Service that I posted about around a week ago.

Re: Can you reel faster than a bass swims?
Bass Ambush speed/aggression is indeed shocking.
This is probably obvious to everybody; From a boat, I almost always consider it a huge favor that bass tend to swim into deep water because it's typically away from hazards. From shore, it gives them an advantage a lot of the time, even if just ...

Re: Hurricane Hilary: Category 4 storm barrels toward California
Time will tell of course, but Sweetwater was pretty certain Loveland will overtop.

Re: New Loveland Updates
We had a good meeting today with Congressman Issa's Representative and State Senator Jones' District Director.
There was a good mix of volunteers who had a good grip on the reasons the operation of the lake should be the same as it was on the grand opening day of the 1996 relocated fishing program ...

Re: New Loveland Updates
Here is our Loveland Forest Service Meeting. Wish the old thread was alive to add this to it.
I don't expect anybody to watch it but damn it's been a long time coming.
FS Starts about 30 minutes talking about big budgets but everybody pretty much was there for Loveland.

Re: New Loveland Updates
Fish Restocking at Loveland. Not on the horizon until Sweetwater Authority faces punitive action or sees it coming. I believe this makes sense. DFW will need a punitive decision on the case instigated by my CalEPA complaints and another person's complaint by CalEPA to demand fish restocking. CalEPA ...

Re: Barrett report September 16th
Nice to meet you at the launch Early release. Not sure what time that was, but getting there late put me somewhere between a pattern and a grind. Got 6 or 7 bass and 3 big bluegills working around main lake points with the jerk bait and three better but not big fish, on the A-rig in about 15 feet of ...

Re: New Loveland Updates
Making good progress and really getting into the nitty gritty with the CalEPA caseworkers and even DFW getting drawn in at high levels.
One possible problem with my CalEPA case is that I made a complaint of an "actionable threat" in 2020. That should have been processed and Sweetwater stopped from ...

Loveland update;
This is potentially really good news.
Update From the Meeting with Andrew Hayes for Senator Jones' office on Friday.
“Round table” meeting with Sweetwater Authority on or about October 18th in Alpine. (Apparently not an Alpine Community Planning Group meeting)
This is to discuss ...

Find a sponsor that makes glide baits, then post it and say you caught it on a glide bait.MaxZmus wrote: Mon Sep 25, 2023 8:31 pm You’re suppose to post it and say you caught it on a glide bait.

Re: New Loveland Updates
Good news,
CalEPA, It's possible that the CalEPA investigation case managers can be trusted. Nobody can blame me for acting like there is a big doubt about that. I refused to take my update on the investigation alone over the phone, as has been offered, and asked for a Zoom meeting with various ...

Re: New Loveland Updates
The CalEPA case managers told us 'no way" to the request for the public meeting! LOL took back the offer of an update completely. I don't want a phone call anyway so it was worth a try to push a bigger ask. They are going to tell me the results when it's over. Maybe one of the other 5 or 6 ...

There are a lot of fish in Loveland.
