After driving up to find Murray closed on Tuesday, I decided to give it a go this morning.
Seeing that I already caught 2 big catfish in May fishing for bass, I somehow managed to catch another catfish that gobbled down my Texas rigged brush hog. I thought at first it was a nice bass for about 20 ...

Also known as moss, hair algae, elephant snot, etc. How do you fish it?

Topwater, weightless plastics, swim jig, frogs, shallow crankbaits, weedless swimbaits, heavy jigs and fish right in it, fish outside it in the deep water (>20'), ....?

Took my oldest son float tubing at D&K. Awesome day. My son is just now getting the fishing bug at 35....but he's still really new to it.

He ended up with 7 and I caught 16. Several were caught on walking topwater baits and poppers, a few on a crankbait. After the topwater action slowed, the rest ...

Hey McFish…That catfish hat you posted makes me laugh, but in a way it’s kind of funny as I have caught three nicely sized catfish in about a month while fishing for bass. I wonder if I try to catch a catfish if I’ll catch a big bass??? Most likely not.

I read on Facebook that Murray was getting lowered and that the ramp would be out of commission. Is that not true, or did it not happen yet?


The ramp will most likely be out of commission.
Usually every year because of the 4th of July fireworks show at Lake Murray they lower the water each week ...

It’s funny I think I see you out there a lot too. It’s easy to recognize you because there’s always a lot of splashing around your float tube and your rods always seem to be bent.

You can walk those spooks through slop and weeds but the hookup ratio is not great.
