Short answer......"NO"

The chance of an El Nino bringing above average rainfall is 50/50! Last year was an La Nina year and we had way above average rainfall...so are we just going to dump half of our water supply into the ocean every year? So, if the rain doesn't show this winter do we have to fill our lakes back up ...

Maybe we’re going to get a lot of rain this winter and the city is preparing for it…. Yeah….that’s the reason…ha ha :-)

I’d agree if there wasn’t ridiculous financial waste, spending and mismanagement in the city and at state levels. Example; illegal immigration costs CA roughly 31 billion per year. You’d probably be able to build a “few” dams with that….

Santee Lakes is as easy to fish as golf courses. The fishing can be good at times for sure there. Much more fishing pressure than golf course ponds=)
