Re: El Cap (3/22)

Nice report.
I have always pinpointed it down to confidence. I have fished techniques in the past that I swear I sucked at. This a few fish later I was roping them, thinking this is my new go to. Trip after trip that technique is now putting them in the boat. My way of fishing it did not change, it ...

Re: El Cap 3/24

Looks like you make it back to the north arm. How does you trolling motor battery hold up?
Has the mud improved for lunching?
Thanks for the report!

Re: 4/4 Cap

That's rock pile in the photo we fished last Tuesday, and pulled a bunch off of it. We had it to ourselves the moved down to the next rocking point with nobody on it. Huge difference in crowed!

Glad you got them!

Re: Reports from San V?

You would think that with only Otay and San V being lakes big enough to support tournaments that still have launch ramps in the water, they would be getting hammered.

Re: 4/14- SD River gives & takes

That's a good looking A rig! And chuncky bass.

I thought I was the only one with bad luck or no luck. I lost a 4.5 and 8 (approx) 2 Tuesdays ago at Cap. Both at the boat. My silver lining was that the hooks did not puncher the boat when they came flying out of the basses mouth right next to the ...

Re: Murray 4/16

Beautiful Bluegill. Bet they are fun on BFS. I had one hit a crank at Cap a few weeks ago and it almost pulled the rod out of my hand. Then when I was fighting it I thought it as a decent bass. I was shocked that it was a gill.

Thanks for sharing Dan!

Re: El Cap distance

Not far. Where we were fishing the shad spawn last April is now 1/8 to 1/4 of a mile from the water. No joke.

Re: 4/17 Dam

Yeah the bigger fish for us have been the North Arm (what's left of it). The kid that works for the DFG that askes you about your catch, was telling me when they shocked the lake, that larger population of fish in numbers is in the area you were fishing today.

Thanks for the report.

Re: El Cap distance

Half Mile at the most give or take. Its not a lot. Do you know the cove on the west side with a bunch of rip rap rocks on the south end of the shore rounding the corner going into it? That is one of the last fishable spots. I trolled a fat rap sr5 across the lake at that point and was hitting bottom ...
