You can also use one of the avatars available in the gallery.

After you upload an image simply click on the rotating arrow next to the image title as shown on the screenshot below.
Then click on the image thumbnail and rotate the image so it's in the correct position.

Maybe it should be based on the number of thanks not on the number of posts. Quality over quantity. Or a dual ranking system. That would make more sense but the forum engine does not have the capability to do it. It can only be done via assigning ranks manually which we can look into at a later time.
