Halibut in Mission Beach or Ocean Beach Surf?

I just moved from Carlsbad to the Point Loma area. Fished a ton in north county but not much further south. Is it worthwhile to target halibut and in the surf in the MB/OB area? Thanks in advance!

Mission beach has a lot of halibut and is definitely worth trying
