Lizards and popper v2

Post by EL_prowler_619 »

It was a super cold morning Saturday meet with @Early release in the lot and headed out . Fished in the dark for a few fish again no takers on the lizard but the 9in worm was getting hit whats funny the 1pounders where hit the 9in once sun came up and burn threw the fog the bite got a little better shore pounding the way down pines, the lizards was getting hits I try 3 different colors black blue, dirt, and scoppernogg and the dirt was getting the takers this time around, dav had to take off early so I jammed down pines and the tip of it is a super nice flat where topwater was hitting there was a aluminum boat and 2 kayaks and all you heard was wooo hooo and this is a bigger one ... was able to land about 20 on the popper in about 45 mins with the smallest about 2.5- 3 lbs mostly all very healthy bass work my way up pines to the parking lot with the popper and it was producing.. it felt like the bite was happening after 11ish cause the morning was super slow . Overall number where low but fish where bigger and skinny
Also got a flat tire going over the rock pile on the way out diff need to do something about that ... wonder if I can bring some cemet bags and fill in the spot?? Any thoughts on it ?

Great report!

Wow, that’s probably why those long skinny worms works there, they look like that rattler 😬. Did that thing try to get near you or swam off the other way?

Wonder if a bass grabs one and does the snake turn and bite it?

You know when you have that sence of someone watching you 😆.. I stopped to throw the popper and in a matter of seconds this guy was behind me . Once he notice I saw him he stopped and stuck his tail up out of the water at that point I said the hell with this and took off ... I did fallow him hoping to see a huge blow up but he made it to the other side of the lake
