Mission Beach Friday 8/16/24

Fished mission beach, tower 17-18, for a couple hours this morning. Little to no grass or kelp. After a slow start the tide filled in some and some holes showed up. I walked around a hole jerking perch out, moderate action.

A passing fisherman claimed 2 19 inch spot fins on blood worms. Another fisherman chunking a lucky craft (or clone) claimed an undersized halibut and I watched him land a decent corbina. Talked to him after and he said he rarely catches corbina on the artificial.

Good luck, y’all, tight lines. I’ll be traveling for a month or 2, maybe back by October.
