Lake Wohlford Questions

My son wants to try fishing at Lake Wohlford. What species are biting now and what tackle/techniques should I use for them?

Not sure what’s really biting up there. In the winter time, they stock trout at Lake Wohlford and heard the trout fishing is pretty good. I have not fished that lake for decades but in the summertime at all the lakes, it’s either bass , bluegill or catfish that may be biting. It’s really hard to give you a full answer on what to use , set up and where etc. ….except if you’re going out with your son, I would grab a small Styrofoam container of nightcrawlers or red worms and maybe a small bobber and get your lines in the water. The lake ranger or staff would be able to provide more information on what things are biting and where because there’s tons of techniques to catch fish and really hard to go through all of them on a message.
I’m pretty sure the lake staff would give you the help you need and they sell everything right there probably like the bait, bobbers, etc.
