Harbor Island 5/16
Not much, but caught my first spotty Saturday morning! I usually fish the surf, so bay fishing is still new to me. I thought I got snagged when this thing hit, then it started pulling drag! Super fun, might have to try out bay fishing more! Hit around 7:30am on a weird bait, its a brown two tailed grub, around 4”.

Spotties are fun! Sometimes they are subtle biters, sometimes they slam you. But once hooked, they all fight like heck. Congrats on your first.

Great spotty for your first, I believe that lure is called a scampi, been around for ever.
