Lake Vinnybass funk!
I fished Murray on Monday and found a pattern I wasn't expecting. After hearing rumors of topwater and shallow action the last couple weeks, I was expecting a fish bonanza yesterday! Well...not quite what I was expecting! I did end up with 12 fish, but it felt very much like a weird postspawn day already! I got most my fish spooning fish in 20' of water...a challenge without electronics on my tube! I got a couple fish on small flukes fished deep and lost 2 nice fish on Carolina rigs in 25'-30' of water...not exactly a shallow water bonanza!!! The water level is going up and down a couple feet each day, not really what the bass are wanting! I would think in a week or two, the bass will return to a normal pattern for this time of year! I didn't see many fish caught yesterday, most people left the lake around 10:00...not a good recommendation! Most of my fish were in the 2lb plus range...wish I landed the 2 larger fish. I know...should of been there last week! Would of, should of...I'll leave Murray to Vinny for awhile!

Re: Lake Vinnybass funk!
The lake level has fluctuated up and down just since me fishing there on Friday. I went over to the lake on Saturday afternoon
and the water rose a few feet higher than Friday. I went over today and after talking to you on their boat ramp yesterday, and
the water level went down more than a few feet. Just be happy there is enough water to launch your tube....and catch 12 bass
ha ha. Everything has been weird with this total heat wave, the water levels changing all the time and everything so different
than other years.
Thanks for sharing and tight lines.
Pic from this morning and you can see the water went down a lot since you were there yesterday.
It is crazy!!!!!! Sorry I missed you yesterday but I was fishing where the water may be murky,
but at least the water level does not fluctuate as much as Murray.
