Hodges in August, I mean Feb

Post by jimbongo »

Hey guys, am back on the new sdfish.org.. didn't realize sdfish.com was gone after several years LOL!! On the new one now..
Hit Hodges today, and was slow as expected.. Mid 80's with no breeze, felt like mid-summer August.. Seemed most folks were crappie fishing, and maybe a handful of bass anglers that I saw.. Tried the faster swimming baits in the am for nothing; think they're still cold with the water temp.
By noon, realized the deeper water slow presentation was the ticket.. Picked this fellow up in around 20' of water.

I was out on my tube there on Wednesday, and couldn’t find them after throwing just about everything on the south bank. It looked like there was tons of bait sitting out in the middle on my FF. Fished the middle just a little bit at the end, but didn’t get to pull one out like you did :D
