Haven't posted anything since my 7.25lb bass few weeks ago at Murray(Didn't want to bore you guys as just landing mostly dinks anyway), but here is just a quick post from the SD River.
Got just 3 bites this morning on a quick session at the river and landed 2 bass.
Not big by any means but still fun..... especially since there are no costly permits to buy...ha ha.
Tight lines everyone.
Nice Vinny. I haven't fished the river since I sold my float tube and got the pontoon float. Trying to launch that thing would be a big pain in the butt at the river but I do miss it. Keep posting these fine catches and tight lines my friend.

Chunky! Not small, by any means... unless you're used to catching 7 pounders!
I’m not used to catching 7 pounders but catching 3 of them in the last couple months was pretty crazy and I was pretty lucky.
I probably will never catch another 7 pounder the rest of my life … ha ha

So are there Northern or Floridas in the SD river?
I am not really sure. Guessing Northern bass? When they released tons of water from El Cap the other year, if some of those are Florida bass, there mustt of been some that made it into Lakeside then Santee and then into the SD River. Anyone else have an answer?

Nice job Vinny! Hope all is well with you bud.
Right back at you, Robert hope all is going well and always remember the days of picking up pork rinds at the bass pro shop in Las Vegas for you. One time we were hungry in our room in Vegas and Deb opened one of the bags(that we replaced, of course) and both of us probably ate only about two of them and then headed downstairs to the restaurant ha ha haI ….guess all of us have different tastes… but what I do know is you’re a heck of a good fisherman and always wish you the best!
