There most likely will be better ideas out there for you, but here is my 2 cents:Hotcarrotz wrote: Sat Jul 12, 2025 5:43 am Anyone have good things to say about the kayak seat cushions you use? Brand and why? I have a Hobie Lynx so anyone with a Lynx seat please throw some recs at me please!
I fish a lot in my Hobie PA 12, I just went to Lowes and got 2 patio chair cushions as they work great as I am always very comfortable
and even elevates me higher up which is great also for casting etc. (Black is a better color but they only had blue ones the time I was there) Even on my low thrills Hobie Passport 10.5 I modified the chair with handles and I also added 2 cushions
to the seat. I also added a cushion which I shortened the material inside to fit better for a more comfortable
back rest. Not pretty...ha ha, but better back support than just the seat that comes with a Hobie Passport.

Re: Kayak seat cushion recs?!
I always just wear shorts and my main thing is to be comfortable and elevated. The cushions are not made for air flow and personally I never feel I need ventilation there....but that is just me I guess. There are probably better things to sit on, but not sure ventilation is the main reason to get a seat cushion....but what do I know...ha haHotcarrotz wrote: Sat Jul 12, 2025 4:03 pmAwesome DIY!
