Pacific Beach Tuesday July 1

I fished the surf Tuesday July 1 around 8:45-10:00 just south of Crystal Pier, tide rising from 8:55 0.6ft low. My first time out in about a month (had only one 15 minute session in all of June, which ended with a break off in a mass of kelp). Crabs plentiful everywhere, lots with roe. Grass was abundant but mostly single strands and fewer of the massive tangles. Only caught 3 small BSP. Had some good bites I thought were something other than BSP but couldn’t stick them. Met another fisherman who said he caught a few BSP on an artificial grub.

You did better than my skunk up here in OC… I really like fishing that beach…
