Well Junkie's you have been waiting and soon it will happen again.......the 2025 opening of Barrett. From all the reports that I have heard it should be another great season. PLEASE respect the loading and unloading zone launching at Piggy's.....that is the area close to the shore. Also it is no secret that the City is trying to close the lakes in some instances to 2 days a week. Barrett, Sutherland, Otay and Hodges are on the block. I have yet to see the agenda for public comment that will take place May 5th thru 9th. I know I will be there to fight this BS. There has also been some local press on the issue. YOU can get involved by contacting the Mayor and all of the City Council representatives. You can email them even though you do not live in the City.

Re: Parking @ Pig's Point....Lake Closures
Hey Tommy,
Got out on the water this past weekend with the charity Cast Hope. It was an excellent fishing day even though the weather was cold and windy, then nice, then worse, then something else. The fish seem to be back to proper clone size, I caught a lot of smaller bass last year when using the BFS gear. There was a story on News 8 yesterday about the closures and the "plan". I'll certainly email all of them to let them know how I feel. Hopefully a lot of us will. It seems to me like this is a world class fishery and if it was better managed, money could be available.

Re: Parking @ Pig's Point....Lake Closures
Now’s the time to start an online petition.
There was one done last year and while it didn’t draw much attention maybe we have time now?
It would be nice to drop off a box of concerned signed citizens to the city’s decision makers or to whom this may all be involved.

Re: Parking @ Pig's Point....Lake Closures
Please by my guest to start one.....the issue is that the public review/input on these matters starts May 5th thru 9th at the City Council chambers downtown. Last I looked I have not seen any agenda addressing the lake issues we are concerned about, just that the meetings are scheduled. They normally do 2 sessions a day, 2 and 6 pm. I would like very much to present the petition to Council. As I only got 1.5 minutes last time anyone who wants to join me is always welcome......maybe if they do not want to speak they can yield the time to me?
