Last Saturday for 2024 ......got there early morning and it was pretty cold for being September... launched and hit the shore line on the way down pines since I been fishing lately with Mr @Early release I picked up the popper started picking fish right away 3rd cast i hooked up then every cast felt like a fish alone mostly in the 1-2 pound range hit the coves hoping to see Dave sail by but ended up deep in the coves seemed like the topwater bite died down around 9ish so started throwing the lizard around .... pulled bigger fish off the lizard however I did have to work that lizard pretty aggressive..... meet with Dave on the way back and like always a great conversation... hit the cove by pigs with the lizard and 9in worm and landed about another 10 healthy fattys ... ended the day around noon with about 40 50 fish about 10 on the 9in worm and the rest on popper and lizard...... overall if this is the last trip of barrett I must say it was a amazing year from start to finish meet a little of wonderful people and forever fishing friends .. till next year see you guys on the lakes
