Managed to get out for a couple hours on the creek.
Previously, the new tiny fluke thing was getting whacked pretty consistently just flylining it.
Figured I would stick to dropshotting it this time out.
I mean, it looks like a shrimp or a bug or something anyway...
Tried a copper/clear laminate, clear with glitter, clear w a bit of red inside, and did get a few microbass.
But what worked even better for the bigger (relatively speaking) fish were the the carrot lures on an EWG hook. They dart around like a slug or fluke.
Here's a copper colored carrot (made with gold mica powder)...
And the fish of the day bit a clear/glitter carrot...the same lure that was killing the micro-calicos in the bay a month ago...
That fish was 14 inches long...a lunker for this little step-across creek.
I was so sure the tiny shadlike thing would kill on the dropshot. Oh well.
Need to get out on the tube and let the bay bass have a shot at the new lures.
Not what I expected...

Nice, you have made some nice lures in the past and this style looks to be another good one.
Thanks for the post.
