Damn! Nice one! Used to get carp bycatches on dads back in the day at Loveland. I think they get to a certain size they start eating anything. We’d get them at the river on big goldfish while flat head fishing too.

It looks like there are some variations of the “June bug”. there are some metallic purple and green ones. Maybe the bug turns color in different stages of life? Must have been the inspiration in the color. Especially the metallic green flake.

Sounds like you have a motor since you’re registering so more than likely yes. May be a grey area but it’s not bad to know the basic rules in navigable waters.

I’ve seen the rule posted at many water ways for a certain size of orange marking on a tube. Most used to come with orange on back rests. Periods work at the aquatic dock center. Commas catch pretty good too. Question marks are the secret weapon to land the catch of a lifetime.
