Fished Tidelands this morning from the float tube. Got 31 spotted bay bass, 1 20" halibut and 1 sand bass. At least 1/3 of the spotties were in the 13-15" range. Day 1- Hiked into Ramona at sunrise. After about 45 minutes my dog got a foxtail burr in her ear, so we hiked back out and went to the animal hospital. No fish for you.

Day 2- South bay shallows mud flats hoping for exotics.Very windy, very poor fishing ...

Caught the fish I farmed a few weeks ago. Fat 17” spottie.

I took my dog to fiesta Island for a couple of hours. Caught 5 croaker throwing small grubs.

I was fishing in the morning for 3 hours. caught 11 Bass. 9 were caught on spinners.

Fished the afternoon outgoing tide from ~1pm-4pm.
Tried to film but forgot how after a month of no fishing
A school of bonito and corvina followed in the hooked fish but no other bites from them after i let it go

New to the forums, but excited to meet everyone. Caught some leopards in Mission Bay 2 weeks ago. They aren't there anymore Tried to get them again. Bait was some fresh spotfin croaker. There were so many of them but only hooked two!! CPR

Got out 1/2/24 after work for 1.5 hours. Fished the ned rig just outside the cays for 6-7 spotted bay bass. Slow outgoing tide, didnt see much bait and the bites were very soft. Biggest fish was ~12.5", nothing special of a day but good to get out.

Floated Tidelands Park this morning from 6:00-9:00 with a steady bite the whole time. Drop shot robo worms on a 6lb ultra light trout setup was all I ended up using. Handful of spotties, yellow fin croaker, a halibut and a chunky Sargo.
