I only had about 3 hours to fish, but I'm camped so close to Otay I didn't want to miss the opportunity. Hey, it's better than couch surfing for my mental health haha.

Had a blast at Murray today. Caught 11 topwater bass early, then went to the bottom when the wind picked up, and added a few more. All in all it was a really fun day!

Did you need help reeling it in? They're probably draining funky water from the bottom of El Cap. Your Dad would be proud that you stuck to fishing! Many a kid has been saved by fishing....Me!

Bummer about the dead fish Vinny, but glad you got to honor your pops. I lost mine 30 years ago and not a day goes by that I don't remember him and something he taught me.

Fun day today, glad you could make it up! Today was one of those days where everything lined up for me! It's been awhile since I had a 30 fish day..they sure are fun! The pattern was the opposite of what it was 2 weeks ago, you never know! Next time you come up, I'm giving you a sedative...you work ...

I just got a mental image of Vinny with a guitar shaped fishing pole throwing plastic worms while under the influence of qualudes and weed. It didn't work. He still fished fast, and although slurred, the words still poured out.
