Been over a week since I fished last so I decided to hit Murray. I had thought of going up to the Lake of D & K, but a cold weather forecast up there helped change my mind. Too stubborn to fish the tulles I searched and searched for shad balls and wasted a lot of fishing time. Hours went by and not ...

Quick stop on the way home from work and no skunk...that is all that matters. Lot of younger fisherman working the gigantic glide baits and trout looking swimbaits...but I was mostly working old faithful...the weightless Texas plastic worm...seems like it works...

I fished for 5 hours at Murray today and the lake served up a humongous steaming plate of deep fried skunk. I threw everything, cranks, jerks, topwater, flukes, jigs, worms...literally every type of bait I had, and nary even a nibble.

Report over lol. I'm off to get Tylenol and bourbon.

So I got home and the better half had a pot of chili on. I told her it smelled great and I couldn't wait to try it...as long as there was no skunk in it. She gave me the "are you a moron" look, and I told her I'd eaten enough skunk for one day.

Of course she didn't get it because she doesn't fish ...
