I wanted to make it back to the structure I fished with great success my last time. It was a hell of a swim backwards even though i was using my new drill paddle i made ...

What it’s all about.
Some of you guys have known me and my family for a while. We ALL fish. Well, we’ve been teaching my youngest (Isabella) how to use a proper spinning setup for the last year. She’s 6yrs mind you. She’s now become sufficient enough to cast, reel on her own. Just the basic worm set up. Mostly just ...

The Mystery continues.....
Sutherland is making me crazy! I fish it most fridays..starting back in March, and it's not getting any easier to figure out! A couple weeks ago, I had a decent day and thought I had figured out the puzzle..but no, pretty much back to scratch! Every week, we keep saying next week, next week comes ...

Re: Anybody Fishing Afternoons?
Thanks for bringing up that question as I often wondered how the afternoon or late bite was. Years ago the bite at El Cap would go off late in the day. From what I remember we would fish until almost dark and often caught more bass between 4:30 until we left. At San V, my buddy and I would make a ...

Re: Anybody Fishing Afternoons?
I’ve definitely had some luck in the afternoons recently at my favorite lake. Wolfpacks cruising the shoreline on the tiny bait that’s plentiful. Also the fry guarders making their rounds. Have had success in spots other than my normal fave too, exploring more of the south end of the lake on foot ...

Re: Anybody Fishing Afternoons?
Also: if you’re on a boat you can get to all the best spots on the lake that shore bangers can’t. I feel like it’d for sure be worth your time.
How fast they chase you off seems to depend on who the ranger is closing up. There’s a lady who will definitely chase everyone off a little early, the dude ...

A couple weekends of local fishing with the bro..
Have been fishing a ton the last couple of weeks since my last update. My brother is in town from Toronto and we hadn’t fished together in 20+ years, so we are getting after it every chance we get.
Most of our time has been spent on shore at my favorite local body of water. We made a visit to the ...

7/10 San V....Yes, San V
Recently after moving lots of junk around in my garage( while getting rid of junk also), my boat sat there looking like a storage unit. There was junk beside it, under it and on it.,,,it was crazy! So I went a little crazy on Sunday afternoon and moved everything around so that I could actually pull ...

San V and friends...
Bass and friends..what more can you ask for? I started the day by running into Ramona Angler at the docks, and sharing the latest tips and San V info. I got on the water around 6:00 and proceeded to lose a nice fish right off the bat! The bite seemed a little tougher than the last couple weeks, but ...

heck of it.I caught a bass and then a few more followed but they were pretty small. It was funny as I could feel a boat approaching and
wish I could have taken a pic ...

Hodges was Hot (and the weather, too)
Usually I hit up Hodges in the mornings, but today I had a couple hours to spare, and so I decided to head out at 2:30pm – and boy was it HOT, and WINDY. I totally forgot the wind picks up big time in the afternoon. And it's probably why I only saw a couple kayaks and a float tube in the ...

Murray AM
Heck, out of all the guys on SDFish, it seems like only a few go bass fishing based on the amount of actual new posts each week.
I know that there are slow times for everyone when you may only catch one or a few small ones, but why not share it. I understand there are some guys who like to keep ...

After seeing VinnyBass post about wanting to see more posts I figured why not cause I enjoy seeing new posts as well. Got a chance to go out to El cap yesterday morning and showed up to the lake just after 5. Not too many people from what I could see. Helps getting to fish on a Monday. Started the ...

V is for victory!
