The older I get the lite ones come out . My favorite 20 is an Italian made SXS cap lock muzzleloader . Petite and throws really good patterns of Bismuth or lead depending on where I hunt . Love it on the upland stuff . Really a different pace in all respects . Have a good one .

Barrett report May 7th

Hi all,

Had a great day at Barrett. Water is only 65, I don't know why it expected it to be warmer. Speaking of temperature, at 0430 it was 36 degrees F in the air. That makes you wide awake even if you weren't while in your warm vehicle.

Almost 30 total fish today. Mostly on an underspin jig ...

Barrett report May 24th

Hello all,

Here's what happened on Barrett for me today. Got out in the dark, like you are supposed to. First fish at 0540. At that time it's not dark anymore. :)

Took a while to get fish, but eventually there were fish. Here's the stats: Topwater 0, Jerkbait (Silver) 13, Jig 4, Dropshot Roboworm ...

Canyon Lake

Hit Canyon Lake on the 4th of July, 6am to 10:30am with my buddy, Hoppy. As those from the area know, this Lake was recently hit hard by Golden Algae. The extremity ponds are still in fair shape but seem to be affected. We hit the Jump Lagoon first right at sunrise. I hooked and dumped 4 four Bass ...
