85° and all is well

Chuck ( 619bassin ) and I hit lake Baccarac in Mexico for the last few days. We had fished the lake together four years ago and had a blast back then.

Left San Diego via Tijuana to Los Mochis Sunday morning, a 1.5 hour flight and a 2.5 hour van ride, arriving there late Sunday afternoon. Grabbed ...

Re: 85° and all is well

Great post! Love those fat pale ones =)
That's my kind of lake, low amount cover, emphasizing the structure targeting.
Keep up the good life!

Cap No Cap

0330 and we're leaving Los Angeles, en route to beautiful San Diego County, GPS set to El Cap, where we will hopefully not be donating our tournament fees to other anglers in two weeks. And speaking of anglers, even if we fail miserably, least we get free hot dogs for lunch, courtesy of Angler's ...

2/24-AM Session/SD River

After some recent warm days, I decided to hit the river again. I need to remember that we are still in February and water temp
was still pretty cool, especially at the river. After several casts with some crank baits with no takers and a few underspins, I decided
to slow it down a little. Worked a ...

Otay 3/8

Fun jig bite at Otay today. I finished the morning with 11 fish total. Most were in the mid 2 lb range, with the best being a 3.2. I saw a bunch of males up on beds, but only one big female, and she wanted nothing to do with me.

All in all though it was a ton of fun!

Spring is finally here tight ...

3/10-Quick Miramar session

Late start to making a fishing decision combined with 8 West & 15 North traffic, I finally was ready to launched my kayak this morning around 8:30 up at Lake Miramar. Tossed some swim baits for a while and then wasted a lot of fish time going way down to the end of the lake to Escondido arm for one ...

An Otay kind of Sunday

Pretty nice day today at Otay. Ended up with an even dozen. Nothing huge, but healthy, fat, little footballs, and a lot of fun none the less.

All fish were caught on a 1/8th oz. Bitsy Bug jig with a green pumpkin Z-Man TRD bugz trailer. I was casting the edge of the tules and dragging it back to 10 ...

3/16 Hodges not prepared

Got a bit of a late start on Sunday at Lake Hodges . I got the pontoon ready and got on the water by 8:30. I hit the opposite bank and on my second cast throwing a Shad Rap I was rewarded with a 3.4 # largemouth. As i landed her I tried to find my pliers but couldnt I had forgot to bring them. So ...

Best Murray day so far this year!

Monday and Tuesday at Murray were pretty blah. A couple of clones each day, and I had to work hard to get 'em. That changed in a big way today.

I got on the water at 8 am, and decided to head to Alvarado Bay. Deep in the cove the bass were going ape $hit chasing giant schools of shad, and busting ...

3/21- Murray was Fun!

Well, lots of chores have been keeping me busy, but I was finally able to head out to do a little fishing this morning. I am sure glad
I did as it has been a while. I intended to work the tulles, but nixed that after picking up a few bass on reaction baits. It was great to see and chat with Pwy ...
