Back to Murray 9/11

After Labor Day, Miramar closed to watercraft(bummer...I was having fun up there), so I made a return back to Murray. After a couple trips I found that bass are still feeding on shad and there are some busting fish here and there at random times. I spent 95% of my timejust cruising around looking for schools of shad or a few busting bass. I would pull up to an area where a couple bass
jumped and of course they would start and then jump at the area I just left. Even working baits where the shad were, the bass seem to be wiser and concentrating on the live shad and pretty finicky and avoiding most of my reaction baits that I was using. Lots and lots of wasted non-fishing time out there.
Anyway....I was able to pull in a few on reaction baits and on both trips I caught a few on worms, even though I only worked them for less than an hour. If I wasn't so stubborn I would be better off just working worms off the points and in the grass areas and probably would have caught a lot more fish....ha ha. Most of the fish I caught were pretty small and some were fighters and good at
shaking the bait off on the first or second jump.
Anyway...always fun to get out on the water again.
Just a few pics..... Here are a couple bass that McFish caught earlier
in the year and said they were 3 1/2lbs each.
Guess they went on a diet.....ha ha.
