Rockfish season closes soon, at least for depths less than 300 ft.
Went out for a try and got a few rockfish. Only one to keep.
A few sand dabs, and a not quite legal sand bass.
Not a great shot of the rockfish, but it was something to bring home.
Surf was low which I prefer - still not used to landing in surf.

Killer trip.
If you have a descender, and really thin braid, why not attempt the deep fishes?
