Big spottie, baby ray

Employee appreciation party at Tower Beach Club, I always have my gear in the truck so figured why not? Threw out some mussel meat on a Carolina rig just to see what happens. Bam! First ever stingray within 5 minutes. Did the same again, boom! Bent rod and got snapped off immediately. No idea what it was. Re-tie, soak for about 10 minutes and again, bent rod. Feels big, hard fight, definitely not a ray this time. Ends up being the biggest spottie I’ve ever seen and only the second I’ve ever caught! All my coworkers going crazy, CEO says “I didn’t think you would catch anything here!” All in all a fun day, I got paid to party at the beach and catch a couple cool fish!
