I went out at low tide in the evening and caught three corvinas and one ray all on gulp bloodworms.

Fun outing.

FYI- that’s a yellow fin croaker (not a corvina or a corbina).

Good size YFC. Way to go. How were the conditions, i.e., kelp & grass in the water? PB & south has been a mess past 3 days, unfishable

It was actually not bad at all, fairly clean with some grass here and there. I started out casting from the shore to about 60-70 feet out with zero success. Then I switched the tactic and started casting as far as possible while standing waist deep in the water.

Corvina I wouldnt lip hold, might have bloody fingers, Corbina will gum you like that Croaker.
