Fished North beach Coronado, at sunset, for 2 Hours on an incoming tide. Birds diving everywhere! pelicans, seagulls and terns bait in the water appeared to be anchovies but cold have been grunion considering the coming full moon. Thick salad inside the surfline made it impossible to fish although the fish were thick. Multiple stingrays (be careful if you wade), small batrays and croaker galore! It looked like an aquarium. Casting 20g Jigparas and Krocodiles, past the surf, produced several bites but nothing stuck. Plenty of bean clams but no sandcrabs. All the fish I spotted were in calf depth water whitewash. Multiple times I had fish bump right into me in the sand stirred whitewash. Could be great if you bring in bait.

Thanks for the report, I went out today and we had salad in north county also. Yes watch out for those rays! One of my buddy's had one swim over his foot in about a foot of water.

Thanks for the report.
Always wondered about the fishing there - only tried it once many years ago when I knew less than I do now (which isn't very much).
Are you using treble hooks on the Kroc? I always wondered when I get a nibble or bite on a Kroc - was it really a bite or did it just hit some floating kelp?

I leave the treble hooks on the Krocs. They were definitely bites..... sharp tap tap tap. Surely a different feel to bumping kelp or bouncing on the sand bars. once I got into the surf zone the Kroc was loaded with kelp on ever cast.

People have laughed at me wearing waders and thick wading boots in the summer. Rays are the reason. I'm allergic to everything and I don't need to find out what my reaction will be to a ray
