Guajome Carp
They are in there and I tend to try for them with very light tackle (my sierra trout setup). If you can get away from the turtles you may find some nice ones.

Update...getting more and bigger carp and a few catfish now too...still too many turtles, but thems the breaks. They all look like they
are getting enough to eat!

Yes, along the cattails. I am fishing a few feet from shore in no more than 2-3 ft of water.
I have never seen so much life in the lake...it is full of baitfish, I even caught (snagged accidentally) a small shiner...

Turn them on their back and carefully use a pliers, it is often quite a battle with them biting the pliers. If they swallow it, I just cut the line. Last week I caught one with 3 hooks in it and was able to remove all of them (one was mine...)
