went with a group of 13 guys last week to bahia de la. one group of 6 people left sat, our group 0f 7 people left monday. we left at 6am got to bahia at 3:30. weet with other group at our hotel and got the scoop what was happening. needed 5 circle hooks and 80 lb leaders as the yellowtail were angry fish. We were picked up at 5am and taken to launch ramp. we then went in bay and made bait.First day only fished to 10:30 as cooler and kill bags were full. we fished north part of la guarde island in 150 os water. Caught grouper, pargo, white sea bass,sheephead, spotted bay bass, and yellowtail.Got my butt handed to me by yellowtail they were angry fish and you couldn't let them go down to rocks or you would lose them.Back at hotel at 11;30. next day same thing we fished to 11:30 because we lost some fish to sea lions. On third day went south and had similar success except it took 1:30 hours to get back to hotel. we found a new fish processor who cleaned the fish vacuum sealed them, and froze them for $2 pound, came back friday tired but cannot wait for trip again next year.
