Hi Sdfish,
Not sure if this the right area to post, but my buddy flipped his hobie yesterday at Hodges. Just a little ways past the floating restrooms facing the direction of the dam on the left hand side in about 15 to 20ft
If anyone happens to reel up a 180mirage drive, cousins spinning rod + shimano stradic, temple forks rod + Daiwa BG, and a curado 70+ shimano expride please let me know that would greatly be appreciated.

Dang, bummer. Those are hard to flip especially on a lake. Hopefully it was because he was trying to land a 20lb bass…that’s the story I’d give any way haha

@Rawdeezy there is no specific forum section for lost and found. It can stay here for now, I'm going to move it to the General sub in 3-4 days.
Is there a way to search for it using a fish finder?

I’m not too familiar with fish finder capabilities. I guess while He was netting a bass he saw his mirage drive fell in and I guess instinct was to lean in for the mirage drive and then flipped. But thank you for help and yes please move to appropriate section.

If I am not mistaken, Hodges is still the only lake in Calif to produce at 20+ lbs bass, that does not stock trout.
Bummer! That's a lot of nice gear. He should rig up a heavy setup with numerous big treble hooks and a heavy weight at the front and back and go spend the day getting his gear back.

Yup, kinda...
Lots of people within "the fishing community" steel stuff on a regular basis...
just an fyi, maybe you havent been around long enough...
Banking on all fisherman being honest?
From the op's post of pretty much giving gps #'s to the location of possibly $2k+ worth of his buddys gear....
I know the op is trying to help, maybe find someone with some dive gear, someone who obviously knows what there doing of coarse...

Time to invest in a super strong Neodymium fishing magnet kit for about $60.00 on eBay. I have been there several weekends since it has reopened and have seen some several different floating contraptions. And have experienced several anglers some how loose there balance and take a spill along with all there gear.

Had a buddy just dump a rod over board a few weeks ago, and it hurt. Dobyns Xtasy with a '22 Stella in that weird 2000S shallow configuration you can't find in the US.
We watched it sink on the Active Target.
At least we knew how well he had his Active Target dialed in!
