6/22 Shrinking Murray AM Session

I wanted to fish Murray this morning even though the water level is down to inches from where the boat ramp ends. I figured this may
be my last trip for a bit until the water rises again so I carefully guided my kayak just over the rocks and headed out
in search of shad balls and bass. There are a lot of shad in the water and did not find any big schools of them so I just started tossing
reaction baits. Never tossed any worms and basically stayed out in deeper water. There was almost no top water action so where I was
so after lots and lots of casts, I ended up with 6 bass and a Crappie. At first I thought I had a trout, and was a surprise as the Crappie
hit an under spin in about 30 feet of water. Later I wanted to try to catch a 7th bass and fished almost 2 hours trying to and came close
where 2 times I was hooked up and both came unbuttoned. Oh well, despite the lake shrinking daily, it still was a fun time to be out on
the water (at least what is left of it..ha ha)for a morning of fishing.
Tight lines everyone
My biggest bass
My biggest Crappie
Just showing the water level and launching conditions at the ramp(if you kayak or float tube)

Good job staying on them..just when you think the weather is perfect for the topwater to go off..it doesn't! Murray can be a tough nut to crack!

I guess no one is going to grab that piece of trash that’s been in nearly every water level photo you’ve taken

Drove over after seeing your post.
Somebody might of been missing that small piece of metal from their boat

Nice fish!
Always great to see out there at Murray and glad I told you about the new site ending in org. as I am happy to see you found it. You really have the bass figured out as I had some pretty touch days a few months back and you were like a machine pulling in bass after bass even on the toughest days. I am little jealous also about the cool tricked out Hobie Lynx you fish out of. Water is below the end of the ramp now but hope to see you out there soon....or hopefully when the water comes up a little as those rocks are not much fun on the bottom of a kayak.
Tight lines buddy.
