Peaceful Kayak Crappie Fishing Day

Continued my quest for improving my kayak crappie techniques on Father's Day with a very lazy 'gentlemans hours' kayak launch at 10:30 am. Weather was bright sunny and the water temp pushing 74.
The deeper side of the lake in the deeper channel areas seemed to be the ticket for finding them. Used the crappie jigs in the photos, and light gear. Released about 15 smaller clone models and got two really nice crappie, and even hooked a few bass. Off the water by 4 pm.
Got home, made five casts from my local beach, and caught two halibut and a calico bass.

Disregard previous question.
It helps if I read it was on Father’s Day
Stickman, majority of county lakes have a certain day of the month they are closed:

Great catch
@blackcloud9 ! Would you mind sharing some of that expertise? Every time I go to my local beach (Torrey Pines) I end up empty handed. I almost feel like it's a curse of some sort

Dima, I sent you PM to get you started, since I know you're new to the area

The weedless swimbait used is shown in the photo below, however, timing is the key to fishing the butts.
