Must have been fun, they give you a real run and from shore extra bonus.
Thanks for the post

You are right. Lots of fun. They put up a good fight.
They zig zag like crazy. Had a couple catch air. I am
Addicted to fishing for them. Hope the bite last.
I will try next week.

Fished for 90 min (0630 start) at Quivara Sunday with *a lot* of other guys, throwing a Lucky Craft and Kastmaster. Had 2 good tugs on the LC near the rocks, but didn't stick. What fish managed to escape three razor sharp trebles? 😆 My guess is something with a very hard mouth. Saw one episode of fish boiling near the point, but no seemed to be hooking up, except for one guy who landed a Kelp bass. Will try again during the week. [edit, next time I will leave the cooler at home to eliminate the jinx]

Believe me, i've been skunked plenty of times down there.
I noticed the barracuda only bite real early in the morning.
6:30, 7:00 the bite is over. Bomito, usually the bite for me is over around 9:00. I put some scent on my LC. Just to kill human smell. I just changed my retrieve. I noticed, if I let it sit and then soon as I pump it, I get hit sometimes. I'm always changing it up and always walking around. I cover a lot of water. Good luck.

Thanks for the tips. I even did a 2nd session at Mission Pt. Park post bagel run, same result. I will mix it up and move around. Since I had 20 other guys to my left not hooking up, I took my two misses as a victory. 😁

Since I have retired, I don't fish weekends anymore.
Another place I'd like to fish is behind the Dana on MB hotel.
Last time I was fishing there, I cast my lure out and it landed on the dorsal fin of a bonito. That was one heck of a fight. That fish had so much pulling power.
