Are you having any luck fishing these new supposedly deadly baits. I have tried a couple. Yamamoto Uni and Berkeley Moeba. Fished with single hooks with or without weights. Haven’t tried A treble hook setup yet. Trying to setup as not to get hung up on bottom or something. I Should post pics. Haven’t given them much time on the water yet. But not a single bite. Colors are your Green pumpkin and green pumpkin mix. Maybe I need more time using them. Any luck with these baits. Thanks for any suggestions. Fishing either San V or Miramar.

Bought a few off brand ones and have not given them must time in the water. I imagine that if I threw one for a while and picked
up a bass or two, I might be more confident in using them. They do catch bass as witnessed and also by talking to more than a few
guys I know, but for me after some casts and nothing.... I toss a plastic worm and after catching a few bass, the urchin goes back
in the box.

They seem like they would kill spotted bay bass

The way guys in the big tounaments are smoking them is using forward facing sonar and fishing it like a jerkbait. I've tried this experience on a buddy's boat and it's pretty exciting watching the fish get fired up and chase it, but at the end of the day, it's not my favorite way to fish.

You can absolutely blind cast it where you believe fish are suspended and fish it more like a jerkbait like pop-pop-pause. When they hit it, they normally get it in the crushers.

Rigging I was shown is, a cylinder free rig weight (dropshot weight with an open eye rather than the clip) shoved up the hole where the original wire goes, with a 4/0 or 5/0 Gamakatsu G Finesse hook passed into the bait and through the eye of the free rig weight. People are developing special hooks and jigheads for fishing these now as well. It's pretty wild.

Pretty Much what you said is how I am Rigging and fishing throwing in where I mark fish or bait on my finder. Until I get a better boat with front facing sonar and all the bells and whisles. I will keep using them maybe a fish will hit them. Maybe the fish here are smarter.

I've caught with fish with them and I don't have FFS, but I think the best case use for them is with FFS. Most of mine are staying in the box until I get FFS on my yak,

I'm only rigging it with the 3/16th Zappu tungsten (or 1/4 if I'm fishing the salt) right up the middle, with a 1/0 Decoy 108.

I've only had success when using it in conjunction with FFS. No real action 'blind casting' it. You let the fish tell you how they want it fished. Sometimes you shake it at the bottom for an hour, and the next you're jerking it like a mad man in the middle of the water column. It just plain pisses the fish off.

The OSP dice baits? I've caught fish on them on a dropshot rig, but that's not saying much as suspending a lot of things in front of a fish's face will get them to bite sometimes.

Although, I've seen that it's like using a tactical nuke to kill a roach. Does it work? Definitely. Does it suck when you lose one to the barnacles and rocks? Definitely, especially when you could've used anything in your tackle box to catch 'em.

Spotties are down for anything you can put near their mouth.

They aren’t picky at all, I’ve even used sour gummy worms with success.

I have had some success fishing some of the off brand ones on the dropshot. Not outfishing a Roboworm but getting a few on them.

7.3 suspended under a dock. Turn on a glad bait and sink out. Came back and friend fired a stupid dice bait on the dock and she came out and ate it like a trout eating a dry fly. Just slurped it in.
