El Cap 5/12

With Murray closed today I decided to try El Cap. Launching there is still a royal pain with my old ass knees, and getting out is even worse.

Still, once I got out the fishing was pretty good! Caught 8 in just over 3 hours. 2 top water and all the rest were jig fish. Nothing huge, but all of them were in the 2-3 pound range and very healthy. I'd fish it more if launching and getting out wasn't so hazardous to my health.

There you go buddy! Very nice!!!
Glad you could get out on the water there, despite the hardships that are next to impossible to avoid.
A few bass on top and then you were getting jiggy with it. I must admit that you got that small jig
action down to entice many, many bass. Thanks for sharing and tight lines always. :-)

Yeah the mud/silt -whatever you call it- under the water at the edge of the bank when I stand up to get out of my tube literally wants to suck me down. I swear it does 10 inches up my calves while trying to push my tube out of the water. It's really sad to see the state of our lakes these days. I sure hope there's a lot of rain coming at some point.

Rain won't matter if the powers that be sell off the water... or drain it into the ocean!
