5/6-What the heck...

I woke up today with no intent to go fishing. I made an early trip to the grocery store, came home and a couple biscotti's with a cup of coffee. Believe it or not, I sometimes really do not feel like fishing especially if I did not prepare everything the night before. I spend so much time deciding what certain baits and tackle to bring all based on where I
will be fishing the next day. I think prep work
is important (especially if I am not fishing in my boat) and try to limit my tackle otherwise my kayak would sink if I brought everything I think I may need...ha ha Not really feeling in the fishing mood, but staying home did not sound good so I quickly tossed some plastic worms, grabbed 2 rods and headed to the SD river(knowing that I should of took more assorted tackle) and got there at 8:30. Did not stay long....worked plastic worms and landed 2 small bass. One of them was a micro bass that must have been really hungry to hit a 7" worm. While it is always fun to fish, I think I should try to avoid rushed unplanned fishing trips with very limited tackle............well at least untill the next time...ha ha.
